I think this is true of the Northern officials who conquered the South in the Civil War. Concern about black people was just a pretense. Their real concern was about a challenge to DC power to control the money and trade.

We have educated people in the belief that any time they fail it is due to them being black, or some other race, or female. It is never due to personal failings. It is always the white man’s fault.

The microaggression? I a meeting with another Black man, she called the former staffer by the other man’s name even though they look nothing alike.
A couple of days ago I was laughing at myself because I called my dog my son’s name! They don’t look anything like each other, either.
I’m no fan of the Senator’s but for Heaven’s sake, an old lady calling someone the wrong name is meaningless. He had to work hard to be offended by that.
