It is about globalist control in the first place. They know full well that they’ll part with the money if they bite it anyway.

Austin Bay has often proved pretty sensible in my recollection.

Wealthy people can move their money around in a nanosecond, and money is fungible.

The oligarchs of all countries are doing just fine..

Still wasting everyone’s time posting neocon, globaloid TRASH from Town Hall?

A completely collapsed subscriber base is well deserved in their case. Buh-bye.

You’re truly one of their last readers Kaslin.

Does anyone else find it deeply disturbing…the Bidenista-led strategy of using banks and seizing private property based on citiizenship, with no due process, while calling it ‘sanctions”?

Forget the “oligarchs’….Do they think Russians want Biden, Soros, Blinken and Nuland overthrowing their elected govt and choosing for them a more compliant ( to the West) regime? Like that has worked out so well everywhere else…

Is Putin not likely to be replaced by an even more nationalist hard liner who sees western manipulation of Russian political leadership to be…unacceptable ( mildly speaking)

“The best way out of this stupid, murderous war — for Russians, for Ukrainians, the rest of the world, including greedy oligarchs — isn’t more sanctions or more war. The way out for the oligarchs is a Kremlin coup toppling Putin. The gallows humorists call it a nine-millimeter solution — a bullet to the insane man’s head.

Who does the deed? Leave that to the oligarchs and embarrassed generals.”

I think so. I’m sure the Russian people are not behind this senseless war. Their standard of living and freedoms had improved significantly since the fall of the USSR. They needed this war like a whole in the head.

A lot of folks are miscalculating all of this. You take all of a man’s money except his weapons and he’ll use the weapons to get back what he believes to be rightfully his. That is just common sense.

The author writes somewhat frivolously about Putin's mental state.

Putin has hundreds of nuclear weapons aimed at the USA.

Every day this war goes on, I think more about the USA, and less about the Ukraine.

These people have got to stop with the “Putin is crazy” talk.

His choices may be ill-advised, and even dangerous, but Putin is not crazy as in mentally ill/deranged like Biden clearly is.

He’s making his choices, and is prepared to accept the consequences (good or bad) of his choices.

If you put yourself in his position, and contemplate what you would do if presented with the same options, do his choices make sense for Russia as Putin sees it? I’m not advocating that Putin is some wonderful guy who’s misunderstood. However, one has to consider the other guy’s position, his options, upsides and downsides, and estimates on the outcome.

Putin determined that the time was ripe for taking Ukraine, and proceeded accordingly. Whether it works out the way he anticipated is still undecided. His cost benefit analysis at the time, told him that he should proceed. I’m sure that sanctions and all the other tripe was factored in, and he still reached the conclusion that invading was the correct course of action for Russia.

Democrats would love to apply the same tactics to “greedy billionaires”.
