Okay, this is my rant.

I am genuinely sick to death of these FR beg-athons. These things go on for month after month and realistically, they never end.

If I pinged you, it not because I am trying to call you or anyone out. In fact, I have no earthly idea of the donation status of anyone. I really do not. I'm just trying to reach out to some of those whom I respect, my FR brothers, in hopes you will spread the general message to encourage other posters to step up, even a few measly dollars. However, feel free to PM if I have offended you. Not my intent to offend.

FreeRepublic is, and has been, one of the last vestiges of free, open, and unfettered dialog among Conservatives. You would think people would eagerly donate to keep the place going without constantly begging. But no, apparently it's like taking a crowbar to the wallets to posters to get them to chip in $5 or $10 bucks - or more from those who have it.

Have you not been blessed by FRepublic? Even if marginally so as a lurker? Then for the love of pete, chip in without having to be hounded to death. This constant begging to pry a few bits from everyone is depressing. We all love FR, let's all consistently give a little something back.

In summary, it's March with about 28 days until the end of the 1st quarter and we still have a whopping 33% of the goal remaining - with 28 days left. And guess what? In 28 days the second quarter will start with another, you know, FReepathon.

We just have to do better. We're Conservative, we just do better.
