I said this as soon as it became clear during Covid that all these businesses really could work remotely. Why go back to the office? Why put up with the hassle? Why would companies not get rid of all that expensive office space?
This is the death knell of super expensive cities like NYC and San Francisco.
Rush said the same thing. They really only need a small space for things like a mail room and some finance and HR type work or access to special equipment like large format printers, etc. The rest of the employees outside these areas can work from home daily and the rest may only need to come in to the office once or twice a week.
