The “American Energy Independence from Russia Act” introduced by the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s ranking member Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., was rejected primarily along partisan lines 221 to 202.

That'll change in 9 months.

Do Democrats believe that soaring energy bills, gasoline prices heading to $4 per gallon and higher as well as the prospect for widespread blackouts in regions too dependent on fickle wind and solar will win them votes in the fall elections?
