In this new role, Davis–who has been with The Federalist since co-founding it in 2013–will oversee and manage all of The Federalist’s operations.

Sean as named chief executive officer of The Federalist, Editor-In-Chief Mollie Hemingway announced on Monday. Davis, who co-founded the The Federalist in 2013 and has served as its chief financial officer since its creation, will now oversee and manage all of the company’s operations.

“Sean is the perfect person to serve as The Federalist’s chief executive officer,” Hemingway said. “He is the rare person in politics who understands campaigns, Congress, investigative journalism, and how to grow and manage a business. The Federalist’s success was no accident. From the very beginning, Sean’s steady leadership and judgment have been key to our many achievements.”

Davis has a long history in politics, business, and digital media. As the chief investigator for the late Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., he cut his teeth in politics by investigating waste and corruption in federal spending. In addition to leading a successful fight to ban wasteful congressional earmarks, which was derided as hopeless by political insiders at the time, Davis was named one of the top congressional staffers under the age of 35 for spearheading the enactment of the federal law that created USASpending.gov.

Davis attended The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received an MBA, with honors, with a focus on finance and entrepreneurial management. Following business school, he joined The Daily Caller, where he served as the company’s first chief financial officer. In 2013, after working as an economic policy adviser on the presidential campaign of former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Davis co-founded The Federalist with Ben Domenech.

“Sean knows how to report out a story, how to conduct deep investigative journalism — just look at his investigative work exposing the Russian collusion hoax — and how to manage a large and growing enterprise,” Hemingway added. “There is no better person to be leading The Federalist into its next chapter.”

“My goal from the beginning has been to make The Federalist the most influential publication in conservative media,” Davis said. “We have a country to save, and The Federalist is key to that effort. War has been declared against America and its founding principles by left-wing activists, Big Tech, and a completely corrupt corporate media. We have no choice but to win, and that’s what we’re going to do. I’m so proud to be a part of such a fearless team of investigators and writers here at The Federalist.”

As CEO, Davis will oversee and manage all company operations and continue to work closely with the publication’s senior staff, including Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway, Executive Editor Joy Pullmann, Senior Editor John Davidson, and co-founder Ben Domenech. Founded in 2013 by Davis and Domenech, The Federalist quickly became one of the most fearless and influential political publications in the country. It remains a daily must-read for anyone interested in the nexus of politics, culture, and religion in America.

Mollie Hemingway is probably the best journalist in the USA.

I wish The Federalist the best and continue to provide excellent analysis.
