As former President Donald Trump sought to lay blame for his 2020 election loss, Georgia’s secretary of state emerged as one of his main targets. Now, with a Trump-endorsed challenger in the Republican primary, Brad Raffensperger is fighting to keep his job.
The secretary of state emerged from relative obscurity into the national spotlight when he insisted that Georgia’s election had been accurate and secure, and refused to bend to pressure from Trump to overturn Joe Biden’s victory in the state. Raffensperger says he’s running for reelection based on his record of integrity as a principled conservative.
“I’ve shown that I’ll stand and make the hard decisions and I’ll do what is right, and that’s what I’m called to do,” he said in a recent interview with The Associated Press.
Months after Raffensperger certified Biden’s victory, Georgia U.S. Rep. Jody Hice, a conservative Trump loyalist and former pastor, announced he would run against Raffensperger in the May 24 Republican primary and quickly secured the former president’s endorsement. Two others — former Alpharetta Mayor David Belle Isle and former county Probate and Magistrate Judge T.J. Hudson — are also challenging Raffensperger from the right.

Expect shaking in boots for the next couple of months before the May primary.
Georgia was the linchpin of the Big Steal.
ALL of them have to go down, Gov, Lt Gov, AG and SOS.
Yup. ALL 3 seats have to be converted esp. AG or we’ll get a repeat 2024..
“Trump appears to be running the table in Texas.”
Yep. Abbott in a runaway, despite tons of advertising by Huffines (used car salesman) and Alan West.
Attorney General is the interesting race. Paxton will come in first, easily, but it’s really tight for second place as there will be a runoff. And on the ballot is the Last of the Mohicans, Jeb’s kid. The fact that he talks conservative only means one thing with a Bush - that he has a good political adviser.
Duncan isn’t running. It’s between Jones, who is apparently a pretty legit guy out of the Jackson County area and Butch Miller, who I believe signed/supported the initial amicus brief they all wrote, opposing the audit.
And now Miller wants to do away with Mail in voting and Drop Boxes. IIRC, the original draft of the new voting bill got rid of both. The powers that be, Miller being one of them, kept them. Miller is the state Senate Leader. Lots of pull. If he wanted Mail In Voting/Drop Boxes banned he could have done it last year and fully supported the audit.
Miller is a Kemp, RINO fraud.
Thanks for the information.
I hope the Bush Leaguer loses.
If they still control the voting in 2024, we’re sunk.
But Duncan is going to do as much damage as he can before he leaves. As he did with the Buckhead vote.
I wonder how happy Duncan and the rest are, now that Soros bought 20,000,000 shares of Rivian, pretty much saving it from bankruptcy and folding. Saved the 2000 acre disaster coming to Social Circle/Rutledge.
Wonder how long it’s going to take Soros to start pushing his DAs, SOSs, Lt Gov, AG, Gov. he and his son already support Abrams.
Abbott is wnning?? What the hell?
The big story that the Lamestream media refuses to report is the impending RINO primary purge.
RINOs used to try to hide who they were. Trump flushed them out in 2020, and there is no doubt of the traitors that they truly are.
Vote out every RINO who must face a primary this year and replace them with constitutional patriots, especially in the RINO-controlled state legislatures. The Rats could not have stolen anything were it not for the RINO-traitors.
No more RINOs = No more stolen elections.
“Abbott is wnning?? What the hell?”
We’re an echo chamber, the other 90% of the GOP doesn’t show up here. One of those 90% that I know, a 100% gun-owning Texan conservative, thought Eyepatch McCain was a great Congressman. He simply didn’t know the other side of him. Very sad.
In any case, I voted for Abbott (sorry if that angers people here). He’s done a sufficient job as governor, far better than Perry who, for example, was trying to hit up our little girls with the HPV ‘vaccine’ so they could have wild and crazy sex in high school. None of that crap with Abbott. And in November, Abbott’s a shoe-in for re-election over Beto - the others are question marks, they probably can win, but not much room for errors, and if any dirt gets dug up on them, they could easily lose.
I tend to favor Burt Jones over Butch Miller. Jones has a lot of money and can be a bit rough around the edges -- which means he doesn't need anything from anybody and isn't afraid of offending anyone. In my mind, that's the perfect combination for a political candidate with the right principles. Reminds me of Trump.
It’s a shame that Ralston seems to be safe because he’s about the most corrupt of all of them. And with regards to the Georgia legislature and it’s willingness to throw the state under the bus at every turn, that’s saying a lot.
Still waiting on him to start rebuilding the wall.
“Still waiting on him to start rebuilding the wall.”
At this point they’re letting in everyone who makes it to the checkpoints...so it only helps somewhat.
