Why would Putin bother to fight a war to find any of that stuff? Russians are well versed in espionage; they could just send in spies to get all of that evidence. It certainly would be much easier for them to do than when they used to infiltrate the USA to steal our secrets.

You're absolutely right! All in all why would Putin launch a war to do that? Most of the Biden and others corruption stuff is already out there being ignored by the press and US authorities.
Putin launched a war for what he perceives to be historical reasons. The work of 400 years of Russian Czars can't be left behind. His contribution to Russian history as he sees it is to recover it. That doesn't make his actions right! It just makes it understandable. Why is it so hard for people to understand that?
