Reminds me of 1968 in the anti-gun hysteria after the murder of Bobby Kennedy by a Palestinian immigrant.
A letter to the editor said that in Mexico, more people were killed with knives than were killed with guns in the US.
The editorial response was that it was because of the culture of MACHO that this was happening and “we don’t have that in the US.”
Well, now we do and it is getting worse. I see a return to the ancient Aztec practices and paganism.
