Former President Donald Trump on Monday took credit for Germany finally meeting NATO’s defense spending requirement, after the country failed to fulfill its obligation for years.
“I hope everyone is able to remember that it was me, as President of the United States, that got delinquent NATO members to start paying their dues, which amounted to hundreds of billions of dollars,” Trump said. “There would be no NATO if I didn’t act strongly and swiftly.”
“Also, it was me that got Ukraine the very effective anti-tank busters (Javelins) when the previous Administration was sending blankets. Let History so note!” Trump added.

Trump has predicted most of the crazy shyte that’s happened, thanks to the blind ideology of our woke leftist globalist masters.
Trump was the first and only president to hold Germany’s feet to the fire regarding their defense spending obligation. He knows that the only way he will receive credit for this is if he mentions it himself. The media certainly won’t go out of their way to mention this.

Actually, Mr President, Russia may deserve most of the credit with their invasion of Ukraine. Germany can see the crocodile come one country closer to their border when they invaded Ukraine. Only Poland would stand in the way of the notion of their being the last one eaten by the crocodile. Thier problem will be getting German males who have become soft over the last generation after having been weaned on social welfare programs to stand up and defend the homeland. This is not your grandfather’s German male.

Germany also announced yesterday that they would build two more new LNG terminals to reduce their dependence on Russian gas. As POTUS, Trump warned them to do EXACTLY that to ensure diversity of supply. Virtually all of the moves they are making to counter a more aggressive Putin were recommended by Trump.

You think it takes just a week to massively increase defense spending in a democratic country like Germany?
I tend to agree. Trump should basically say, “I told you so!”. Then, he can promptly lay credit at the feet of the inept Biden whose disastrous policy has emboldened Putin to invade Ukraine. Without which, Germany would still be ignoring its responsibilities.
Nope, won’t take a week. but the closer the crocodile gets to Germany, the reality sets in and the less resistance one sees to defense spending and spending picks up. Fear has a way of doing that to you.
