My favorite story of captured Russians.

In Kharkiv oblast, two Russian soldiers had their vehicle run out of fuel. So they went to the local Ukrainian police station and asked if they could have some fuel.

“My favorite story of captured Russians.”

You should be aware that’s very likely all things such as this are; stories. War fictions designed to bolster one sides’ feelings and discourage the other side. (i.e. propaganda attempts)
They can be funny and even inspiring, if not factual. But, then again, it’s the narrative that matters with such items.

IF true, that kind of backs up the reports that Russian troops were not told this was a war mission.

What were they REALLY told, and what were their actual orders?

Drive South into Ukraine and help people against Nazis?

Or... What?
