Putin getting a Puppet installed in Ukraine would be a hard sell
dailymail ^

Well it looks like Putin wants to have President Zelenksky of Ukraine assassinated and replaced with a Puppet. I'm thinking that if he succeeds then it'll be a difficult sell for the Ukrainians.

Could you imagine if Justin Trudeau were to send in armies of Tanks to major USA cities to kill hundreds and blow up lots of things and then replace Biden with a Trudeau puppet who then says "hi, I'm a Trudeau puppet and I'm now POTUS. Everyone sing 'Hail to the Chief'"? This could cause some eye-rolling to happen and not go over too well in the hearts/minds of many Americans & definitely not mine.

My guess is that Team Zelensky is well-aware that Mr. Putin isn't well-wishing for President Zelensky's health. I admire his courage. But with their efforts now to conscript all the men they might want to be very careful about their new conscripts who struggle with speaking Ukrainian and seem too anxious to get heavy weaponry and work on Zelenksy's personal detail.

That’s the thing, Putin has no end game.

He can’t stay and occupy and he can’t put a puppet in. It would be a hard sell with a hard and tight rope.

But they have allegedly been informed that the Russian leader has no desire to reach a deal, branding the meeting on the Belarus border as 'smoke and mirrors.'

Putin is nothing if not consistent.

He has lied for momentary advantage at every stage of his operation, this is a training exercise, we are returning our troops to their home bases, we are not going to attack Ukraine, we are merely putting peacekeepers in DPR/LPR to discourage violence and on and on.

Sources told the Times the militia were briefed about Putin's plans on Ukraine back in December, long before the Russian army was told.

What? Putin had the invasion planned all along? I shan't believe it!

I was assured that Poot was negotiating in good faith!

Sort of like what we did under Obama when fomented a revolution in 2014 and installed our own puppet, one that was meeting with George Soros as he was taking over?

In fact, our first puppet in Ukraine gave Soros a medial of freedom award in 2015:

https://www.rferl.org/a/ukrainian-president-gives-high-state-award-to-george-soros/27362587.html

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has awarded U.S. financier and billionaire philanthropist George Soros with Ukraine's Order of Liberty.

Poroshenko presented Soros the award, one of Ukraine's highest, in Kyiv on November 12.

"Your intense activities during recent years have extremely promoted the democratic change that we now have happening in Ukraine," Poroshenko told Soros.

Soros is one of the most influential people in Ukraine:

Liberal billionaire George Soros has been listed as the second-most influential person in Ukraine by the country's leading news outlet.

Globalist Soros was listed second only to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to prominent news outlet Vesti.

In a recent article titled “Top 100 most influential people and events in Ukraine,” the Kiev-based newspaper listed Hungarian-American financier, and social engineer, as the second-most influential figure in the country.

The news outlet attributes the pro-globalization Open Society Foundation founder’s position on the list to his exceptional level of influence on the events taking place in Ukraine.

Soros reportedly funds dozens of political organizations across the country. He also backs politicians in the Cabinet of Ministers, according to the report.

Putin could just arrange an election, allow all mail-in voting in Donbass, immediate registration, no ID voting, ignore chain-of-custody rules, and shut down voting for 8 hours

Then come out at 6 AM and declare victory

THAT’S how you elect puppets.

If the USA ever has a war with the Russian federation then I hope the Russians use the same accuracy with their weapons that they did with their Travel Directions on putting their peacekeepers in DPR/LPR who ended up in the Kiev area.

In reality though the problem wasn’t their GPS. The problem is that Putin is a liar and mass murderer. He has no path to anything like respectability except for the fear of his nukes and even if he does survive this he’s never going to be trusted on the global stage (unless the Beijing regime enables it).

Just thinking the same thing. Risk the entire country and all our alleys for one man, no matter what a great and courageous guy he is. No.

As you mention, Beijing is in an advantageous position.

On the one hand, in the face of America and Europe uniting in outrage at Putin’s invasion of Ukraine and soliciting China not to support Putin, Beijing could use that as leverage to advance its agenda vis-a-vis America and Europe and agree with them to isolate Putin.

If China agrees not to provide a lifeline to Russia economically and financially, then Russia will simply collapse if Europe and the US strictly stay the course.

On the other hand, if China agrees to prop up the Putin government, it can write its own check in terms of what it wants from Russia. This is the deal that it appears has already been struck.

But in reality even that may not be enough to keep Russia viable if the West strictly tries to isolate the Russian economy.

Of course Europe really, really does not want it to come to that, because of the dependence on Russian gas and the hardship for Europe.

But what Putin is doing in Ukraine is really shocking the Europeans.

Other powerful interests in Russia surely realize the importance of that energy relationship and how Putin is jeopardizing the value of it.

Not sure what's the end game here? Putin must think that this is still 1982 and that he can rely on his Soviet era techniques to intimidate the Ukrainian population to accept the rule of his puppet. I know he's an old guy but that was a bygone era.
