I don't think it's intentionally pink. Some optics companies don't do a good job of matching the "standardized" non-black color choices. Some attempts at "Coyote Brown" or "Desert Tan" end up looking like Malibu Barbie. Hey, as long as it works, she can paste anime girl stickers all over it.
