It was the liberal greenies in the USA and world that gave Putin the economic power he has today. If the USA was energy independent as it was durint the Trump Adminstration Putin wouldn't be reaping the billions of dollars he is today due to inflated oil prices.

People like Putin become more aggressive when surrounded by weak leaders.

The other thing to remember is the corruption that took place with the Ukrainian government that involved ones like Hillary and Obama and Biden and McCain and all of their friends.

Boy - they REALLY don’t understand why we had respect for Putin as much as we hate his totalitarian actions.
Hurr Durr - Putin not on ourside now... ‘cept we liked Putin when Hillary supported him with her great reset button in 2010.
I’ll not be snarky and point out how the left happily supported Hitler AND Hugo Chavez when they were in the midst of destroying their countries.

Using this logic, Churchill and Roosevelt were hard core Stalinists. What an awkward spot.

Propaganda at its finest. “The 1980s are calling and they want their foreign policy back” was not a line from a “right-wing fan club.” The “Russian re-set” was not the brain child of a “right-wing fan club.”

SF Chronic Defecation feels an urge to snivel at “right-wingers.”
What better opportunity than to call Russia’s murderous leader a “right-winger”?
Putin is now hated, therefore it’s only fitting he be labeled a right-winger.
Why, if Trump was in office, the SF Defecator would be hailing Putin as an enlightened progressive champion of Democracy.
On the other hand, if Trump was in office, Putin would be trying to find the head below his belt.

At most, some conservatives have recognized that Putin has sided with the Orthodox Church against some of the social decadence of the West. And that is a fact. Whether he is sincere is another question, but based on my reading most Russians think he is.
However, that is NOT the same as defending Putin's alleged accumulation of vast wealth or his alleged murders of political opponents and critics, nor does it indicate support for this invasion.
And I remember just a few years ago when it was not considered "treasonous" to oppose American military intervention in countries that had not attacked us or our formal allies.

Is there an Official Putin Fan Club somewhere out there that I don’t know about?

They got played.
The MSM was in on it too. They would run a LGBTQI-whatever information operation just before Putin would propose some ‘protection of the family’ BS law, decree or whatever. All meant to bring conservatives to Putin so when US Leftist fail to impose full economic sanctions, seize Russian elites’ assets etc. the conservatives would not call them out on it.
The US and China are currently Putin’s lifeline while he threatens Europe with annihilation.
Putin’s deception of Western conservatives won’t last much longer.

Touche.

The Lib definition of “Putin supporter” is someone who doesn’t want to send our troops to die defending the country that bankrolled the Biden crime family.
To: artichokegrower
The only people I’ve seen supporting Putin are the hardcore lefties (AOC, Elizabeth Warren supporters).. (I’m not counting obvious Russian propagandists - who we have here).
They are very circumspect.
