TOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Sweden will send military aid to Ukraine, including anti-tank weapons, helmets and body armour, Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson said on Sunday.
"Sweden is now proposing direct support for Ukraine's armed forces. It includes 135,000 field rations, 5,000 helmets, 5,000 body shields and 5,000 anti-tank weapons" Andersson told a news conference.

Not sure if I’d announce that, but then again, the country is run by women.
Are they a NATO member?
Wow. Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition
No has ‘observer’ status!
“Are they a NATO member?”
They are not, but because of not having the NATO shield they have a much more impressive military than most European nations.
That is why they have 5000 anti-tank rockets they can spare when most of the EU only has a few hundred.
Ruh Roh. Not sure if this will turn the eye of Mordor to the Hobbits of Sweden ..
No Sweden is not in NATO
How come everybody is sending weapons? Cause the game has changed. I’m glad countries are contributing but it shows their spineless position B4.
Not NATO member. And they’re probably sending old, near-expiration stuff. Virtue signalling.
Germany and the Baltic states each have done more. The US too but Brandon will probably have the supplies flown to Moscow. That’s who he works for.
Sweden feels guilty for sending all that iron ore to Hitler.
Once the dust settles NATO will likely see a membership spike.
“..... The US too but Brandon will probably have the supplies flown to Moscow. ....”
For 10% of the transit fee!
Correct they are not in NATO, but they constantly train with both US military and with NATO forces.
Sweden along with Finland were both strongly considering entering NATO prior to the Putin invasion. They temporarily pulled back in an attempt not to inflame the situation.
This sending of huge amounts of anti tank weapons shows how much they despise the Russians. Putin has pushed them, over the last 10 years, to inch toward NATO.
That’s probably because the UK has a leader named Boris.
5,000 anti-tank weapons, huh? OK, then.
