Yeah, this is the type of crap that started the first world war. Pride and arrogance does not allow anyone to pull back. Stumbling forward on compounding miscalculations.

Too right, frightfully so.

I wonder why Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine. I thought he was enough of chess player to know that a threat is better than an actual capture. Also, following the blog turbulenttimes.co.uk I was kept aware that the weather was not conducive to a major tank assault, nor had Russia the correct forces in place. And still...

So, either Putin is crazy or something else made him take the fateful step. TheConservativetreehouse.com suggests that it can have been (dis)information from the "Deep State" in order gin up an international crisis to make Biden look better. If that was the case we are definitely back to the old evil days of the decrepit Hapsburg Empire.

I mentioned to a friend some days ago that if I had been alive in June/July 1914 I would have been certain that the politicians were clever enough to not allow the little 'event' in a 'far away Balkan country' cause a major war. Today, I am far from certain....

Bingo. There are now only a small group of FR's that are still saying this, but nobody wants to hear.

Putin, with lots of help, is taking down the Deep State Cabal inflicting the entire world for the last century.

Time to hold Putin's beer. (and DJT's)
