That comment about Putin being a genius will come back to bite him when Russia withdraws in disgrace and Putin is overthrown because of a destroyed economy for nothing.

His base won't turn on him because of that, everyone who is clear thinking knows the context and what Trump was trying to acheive via foreign policy. Heck, he even met with little rocket man...twice.

The fence sitters out there, might do some hand wringing, but what most will be concerned with is jobs, $5 - $8 gallon gas, inflation, millions of foreign nationals subverting our sovereignty and rule of law, etc. etc. etc.
