‘Lockdown lovers love Florida’: Dem Governors Assn members called out for ironic meeting location

After spending literally years imposing heavy-handed mask and vaccine mandates and President Joe Biden declaring that a “winter of death” was upon us due to the Omicron COVID variant, the hypocritical Democratic Governors Association is holding a meeting of blue-state governors in sunny, free Florida.

Leaders such as New York’s Governor Kathy Hochul and New Jersey’s Governor Phil Murphy, two of the biggest proponents of suppressive COVID mandates, are now jetting off to a state that refused to impose mask and vaccine mandates, so they are free to party and enjoy themselves free of restrictions.

Following in the footsteps of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and numerous other feckless Democrats, the association is engaged in their own “let them eat cake” moment by unbelievably trekking off to the Sunshine State.

Murphy is the vice-chair of the Democratic Governors Association, so he ostensibly had a say in the location of the meeting. He left New Jersey on Thursday afternoon and will return on Sunday.

Janice Dean @JaniceDean So they don’t have to abide by their own rules?

Jon Campbell @JonCampbellNY Gov. Hochul is heading to Florida tomorrow. The reason? A Democratic Governors Association event. 4:30 AM · Feb 25, 2022

Are there any states still imposing state-wide mask mandates? The Dem governor here in NV finally had a “change of heart” (He looked at his internal polling numbers) and lifted the indoor mask mandate about 3 wks ago.

Couldn’t find a state with a Democrat Governor worth visiting? They’re all turning (or have already turned) to sh!tholes.

They’re meeting in a state where one of their own isn’t even a governor?

Declare a state of emergency localized to their hotel. Make them wear masks indoors during their visit.

I wonder where in FL they are meeting (assume Orlando).

DeSantis was at the Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens yesterday to present Barbara Nicklaus w/ an award for her work w/ pediatric cancer.

“Also I read that Pelosi bought a mansion in Florida.”

That was debunked last year.

Yes, for 26 million she bought Burt Reynolds old place in Jupiter Beach. So her sagging sack of a vodka soaked body and brain can survive in the FREE STATE of Florida, even as she continues DICTATE the “federal” laws which do not exist.

Her days are dwindling- this Mussolinieta Leftist Fascist Nantzi Pelosi nee’ D’Alessandro (of Baltimore, MD Italian mobster origin). Has to move to the “open” Mafia turf of S. Florida to keep up her grift.

Some large number need to HOUND these Dem fake@@ governors with their visions of Totalitarian lockdown control— because they could and that is what they really want.

Strange ... no mention of WHERE in Florida?! Most likely, to my mind, to be either Orlando area or the SE Democrat corner of Palm Beach, Broward & Miami-Dade Counties. If it is in the Orlando area then the DGA & Staff can blend in with all of the other fantasy characters, beginning with ex-Rep. Alan Grayson!

If in the SE Corner that boasts of more New York City retirees than found in all of New York State, the climate will be pleasant as will many of the residents. Of course there are others from the North East and North Central states that have fled these very Governors in their disastrous economic failures! They might not be so welcoming!

I wouldn’t bet your last dollar on that. The owner is listed as a “trust” under a one Michael Golden on the property appraiser’s site.

"Yes, for 26 million she bought Burt Reynolds old place in Jupiter Beach..."

Not sure where you're getting your information, but Jupiter Beach is a place, not a town. Jupiter Island (Martin County - where the rich people live) is sort of a town. Jupiter (Palm Beach County - where some rich people live) is a town.

Burt owned a number of properties during his days here. Most notably was his ranch out in the Farms. Once Lonnie cleaned him out, he had a nice house in Hobe Sound on the intracoastal (not the ocean). He never lived on Jupiter Island.

“The owner is listed as a “trust” under a one Michael Golden”

How does that relate to Nancy?

I didn’t say it did.

I remember when Annie Coulter was outed as having a house on Palm Beach on the PBC Property Appraiser’s site (different county, but same format), she changed the technical ownership to a trust under her attorney’s name.

Just sayin’.

Also, Robb Thompsen (local realtor) was quoted in the PBPost that the new owner of the estate was a former resident of Admiral’s Cove in Jupiter.

No record of a Michael Golden ever living in Admiral’s Cove, so he’s probably someone’s attorney. Could be Nanzi. Could be someone else.
