Russia is diminished, economically and demographically, and Putin’s mission in life is to restore it. He will never have a better shot at it. He believes he has everything to lose and much to gain. And, he would not be the first dictator to suppose that success is a great deodorant.
In another 3 years Biden might even return Alaska.

And after the Alaska settlement, Brandon will still be getting his 10% from the returned territory.
The pool of potential conscripts shrinks each year. So Putin knows that this is his best chance. Biden is in charge and you know he has to go for it. By 2030, Russia is going to be so old so their armed forces will be 50% of what it is today.
