Ten warplanes out of say 2000 operational lanes isn’t decisive.

And yet, with supposedly 1990 warplanes left, Ukrainian jets and helicopters are still in the sky shooting missiles at Russian armor.

The Russkies STILL haven’t taken out the Ukrainian air force despite promising to do so on day one!

Most of those 2,000 planes are not combat aircraft. Modern anti-aircraft misses, either ground-to-air or air-to-air are very effective. How many of those 2,000 planes are operational, and how many are hanger queens? And just how well trained are Russian pilots?

Javelin anti-tank missles have tremendous stand off. That means even if Russian tanks identify the launch point, they can’t fire back because they lack the range.

Ukraine might also have laser/satellite guided artillery rounds. They just don’t miss.

As country friendly to Ukraine begin to scale up weapons support, Ukraine might soon have more advanced weapons than they know what to do with.

You also don’t know if friendlies might not assist is air combat from outside the borders of Ukraine. There are air-air missles with ranges well in excess of 100 miles. Might even be some AWACs planes in Poland that could be providing air control info to Ukraine. They can see shit from over 1,000 miles away.
