The U.S. transplant system needs an overhaul to stop wasting organs and give more patients a fair chance
Okay, you get half a kidney and YOU get half a kidney!
What we need is for the federal government to stay the HELL out of the organ transplant industry! HHS oversees it, but UNOS runs it. They have been working on getting more organs to more patients for years, and they have had success, but putting a QUOTA in place? Seriously? Their mindset of “well, we think you can do better if you do what we say”- DAMN THEM, they screw up everything they touch, STAY THE HELL OUT OF IT!
You can not put a quota on organ transplants. 50,000 a year?
