The Russian people would be on the right side of history if they would give Putin the Ceaușescu treatment.

Ditto for Belarus and Lukashenko.

the thousands of Dead Russian Kids he sent to slaughter isn’t going play well back home.

Russia is an authoritarian country. As long as it does not get out of hand, it's nothing Putin can't handle. Sure. The Russian population might get pissed off. But that'll be about it. You'll have to get the Army and the FSB to turn on Putin and that won't happen.

I suppose next you’ll be giving them Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia?

If Putin feels that he is no longer theatened by deterence, you bet he will take the Baltics.

“I suppose next you’ll be giving them Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia?”

Theirs for the taking.

NATO will not put up a fight. And that is because the US has no essential interests in any of the Baltic countries.

The American people will not support existential war over countries they can’t spell, pronounce or find on a map. And it would require the support of the vast majority of the American people to go to war with Russia.

The same applies for Romania and Bulgaria.

Never its own?

I see you agree with Biden on this one, at least the 2001 Biden that still lurks underneath the dying edifice. Make USSR revanchism great again?

They took it back today.

And nobody will take it from them.

So it’s theirs. And will remain so.

Yep.....war does that....sadly too is those in the break away areas believe what they’re doing is fighting for their survival as do Ukrainians. Sad state of affairs.

What happened last time there was war in Europe . . . ? Oh yes.

We were warned about not learning from history from people like Churchill. What’s going on right now is the result of a new Molotov-Ribbentrop that was essentially sealed with Gerhard Schröder becoming head of Rosneft, and things getting stickier under Obama . . .

Well, just yesterday a henchman ordered his people to kill
a number of innocent people in a foreign nation.

They’re dead now, and they won’t be alive again.

Your comments are absurd. His actions are not justified.

Brute force does not make anyone right, including Vladimir
Putin.

The Ukraine broke away from Russia when the iron curtain
fell. By now 30 years later, it is a fait accompli.

Putin is a rogue, and his actions are illegal on the
international stage.

Only a neocon or a Democrat would call 1,000 people a “massive protest”.

For Russian standards, it is big, considering it is a guaranteed way to get yourself placed in jail, put on a list, and possibly disappeared in the future. That's 1,000 people willing to throw their lives away.

Nonsense. It’s theirs. It’s always been theirs.

You've really gone off the deep end.

happen. Best wishes for your family member.

Thank you for pointing out the historical obvious fact that it seems most do not understand. The CIA installed our stooge to replace a Russian stooge and Ukraine turned into a money laundering machine for the neo-marxist Demorats (as well as plenty of dirty GOPers as well).

Putin knew as soon as China let him know they would be installing a puppet as US POTUS that now was the time to plan for his legacy. He, like China knew they could do what they want without much repercussion from a weak US. He wants a Christian nation (Russia is 14% muslim at this point and growing). He wants to be remembered as the leader who fixed the Minsk agreement. He clearly doesn’t give a SH8T about world opinion.

I don’t see Putin going further than taking back Ukraine. He knows the money he will lose from sanctions he will make back in the gold, oil and mineral reserves from Ukraine - not to mention he controls the oil to Europe and a lot to the US. He holds all the cards in this situation.

Taiwan is next, that we can be sure of.

China owns Biden and we can probably assume blackmail via Hunter’s laptop falling into Russian hands helped a bit with this.

Biden is sitting right now in his dirty diaper wondering if the big guy still gets his 10%.

Are you talking about the break away areas of the Ukraine?

Can you tell me why they think they are fighting for their
survival?

Who was going to kill them?

You must have been listening to Levin today or Levin was reading you. He was ridiculing people who say "I can't even spell Czechoslovakia, what is our interest there!?" as you are now.

Levin made the point that the isolationists in America during WW2 were making the same arguments as you were until the Japanese hit us. IOW, you are hopelessly clueless about what would happen if we let Russia reconstitute itself into the USSR. It can and WILL lead to aggression against the USA, even if we sat by and just did nothing.
