Ukraine is being hit by a second wave of missile strikes from Russia following a heavy bombing campaign this morning.
An adviser to the president confirmed the fresh round of attacks after explosions were heard in a number of cities.
Footage shows a military warehouse near Odessa being obliterated while another video appears to show a number of Russian helicopters attempting to seize Antonov Aiport.
The strikes come after Ukraine’s border force confirmed a checkpoint between the Kyiv region and Belarus had been overrun by Russian forces.
Troops and tanks have entered the Vilcha crossing, which lies less than a 100 miles north of the capital on a road which runs directly to the city.
It’s the first sign of a significant ground invasion making a breakthrough in the west of the country.
The checkpoint is around a two-and-a-half drive from Kyiv, which has sustained rocket strikes since this morning.

On the Dennis Prager radio show yesterday an academic guest said Putin is afraid of long time war because Russian tanks get less than a mile per gallon to move ahead and will need large ongoing supplies. The US has satellite views of the gas storage tanks and pipelines and could hit them and stop the tanks.
We don’t know if Putin will just say, oh, well, out of gas, I give up or not./S
Um, sorry to tell you this but the Russians and their allies have already been in Kiev for years waiting for the order to go.

If it is war, from our side, then our first move is to take out Lukashenko in Belarus.
I’m not suggesting doing it just yet. But if Putin is truly at the point where he’s no longer interested in negotiating, we may have to start considering these options. Trump sure would.
According to retired Gen Jack Keane they are fighting and slowing three invasion froups. The outbreak from Crimea is not being slowed.
