Don’t be surprised if Putin mocks us by echoing US operations in Iraq, a “Left Hook” pincer movement and then with “denazification” of Ukraine carried out like the “debaathification” of Iraq, perhaps even with a “deck of cards” with the faces of Ukrainian leaders like Zelensky etc. to be captured.
A lot of people on FR have been in denial this kind of thing could happen.
Some even seem to think the 40 million people of Ukraine deserve this coming massive death and destruction and refugee flows because some oligarch bribed Hunter Biden and Colonel Bearclaw Vindman and certain Ukrainians intrigued against President Trump.

I doubt anyone here blames the population, but the president of Ukraine does have options if he doesn’t want outcome you describe above. The question is whether he will use them.
