I wonder why Twitter would do this? Isn’t following troop movements the sort of thing that journalists do?

the article implies that they may be getting attacked by Russian accounts reporting them and the auto system suspends them until a manual review

People are pissed at twitter

First they came for Alex Jones, then Trump, then ........

Hmmm... Lots of ways to deal with this, the 1st being that Twitter needs to without announcing it modify* the auto-suspension software unless pornography or strong obscenity is involved. Two, make accounts reporting other accounts the priority objects of scrutiny and suspensions. 3rd, look for patterns in the shutdown requests. Frequency of requests to suspend would be an obvious fingerprint. The more complaints or requests for suspension, the more likely the requesters themselves are suspect.

*At first I wrote “shut down”, but then it occurred to me that this software itself can be redesigned as a trap to ensnare parties trying to censor other’s posts. No suspensions of OP’s though (except for obscenity / pornography), without a 24 hour delay and a manual review 1st. (This should go for any platform!)

The OP’s can take steps too, to make sure their info. is so widely posted that the “complainers” can’t keep up. I’d engage the Ukrainian-American community in that effort, 1st, and expand from there.
