One reason spending increased in 2021 is because a lot of people who had money held off on making big money decisions during 2020. It was wise to wait until the dust settles.

So talking about spending increasing in 2021 compared to 2020 is like saying you're an awesome football team if your record was better than Vanderbilt's. LOL

Also, activities that were prohibited for up to two years are now beginning to take place again. Driving your kid to school, sports, movie theaters etc. Of course spending is going to go up.
