BERLIN (AP) — Climate activists on Wednesday blocked roads leading to Germany’s three biggest airports, gluing themselves to the ground before police arrived.
Members of the group Uprising of the Last Generation said they wanted to disrupt cargo and passenger traffic at the airports in Frankfurt, Munich and Berlin.
The group has demanded that the government take measures to end food waste. It argues that throwing away vast amounts of usable food contributes to hunger and climate change.

Radical environmentalists want you freezing in the dark unable to travel for business or pleasure. Their policies would bring much pain and suffering. CO2 is a plant growth stimulant, not a dangerous poison as claimed by those with a political agenda to control energy to control you.
Maybe Canada’s LowT will show the Germans how to bust them up, freeze their bank accounts and toss them in jail for mischief.
I guess if they’re certain they’re in the right, then laws don’t apply to them.

I’m one to agree about wasting food. I have seen how much got thrown away in Army Mess Halls. It’s appalling.
Now back to the subject. I love how climate change got inserted into their message. It seems, no matter how trivial, CC is still being paraded on the world. How does one connect the dots from perishables to hotter/colder weather? 🙃
Food requires burning of fossil fuels for nearly every step of production and delivery. Increase of food demand also depletes natural landscapes of CO2 sinks through deforestation and fish farming.
CO2 levels have increased at an extraordinary rate since direct scientific measurements began. From 275ppm to 400ppm in less than a century. Far beyond the natural rates of change we can see recorded in ice cores. Also far greater increases of mercury and other toxins than ever recorded. This is why eating certain fish too often causes toxicity.
Even though plants consume CO2, there is great concern by scientists that such rapid increases will cause various unpredictable changes affecting all life. The biosphere is complex and interconnected. It is not as simple as more CO2 equals more photosynthesis.
Climate is very complex and CO2 is not the only driver. I don’t think “climate change” should be the focus of taking better care of the planet.
People need to eat and some waste will always result. However, I think we can all agree that reducing waste and pollution all around us are good things. Especially when that waste is purely for the sake of vanity or laziness...
