I’ve taken the train from there to San Franscisco.

It was a nice ride.

I live just down the road in Danville, which for the past few years running has been deemed California’s safest town due to the low crime rate. What a difference it makes when you don’t have a light/heavy rail public transit stop or housing projects crawling up your ***

Max's Opera Cafe

In Walnut Creek, it was directly across from the Civic Center Auditorium. Great place; all the waiters and waitresses were wanna-be actors and actresses. They'd sing for the folks, great food. Max's Rules, Max's motto was "Nothing succeeds like excess", and they'd prove it with their fabulous triple Chocolate cake; just one slice could have fed a small army of 6----really!"

My wife used to work there as a cocktail waitress in the early nineties; lots of good food, good times and stories. I think there MAY still be one up near Stanford in the Bay Area....I miss the old places.......
