On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Hallie Jackson Reports,” Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) stated that the sanctions against Russia announced by President Joe Biden “cannot be the end of it” and called for the sanctioning of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, “so it’s a clear message to Putin, you’re not going to get it online anytime.”

Germany needs gas. They aren’t going to buy it from us via container ships for twice the price, just because of Ukraine. Putin knows this. His moves are indeed “genius,” as Trump supposedly said.

Nordstream 2 hadn’t started pumping gas to Germany yet. But Nordstream 1 has been for some time. Did Germany stop gas from Nordstream 1? All I heard was the delay in certifying Nordstream 2. I could be wrong but I have my doubts about how serious Germany is over all this.
