You are correct. Constitutional rights to due process have been denied to citizens for over a year in Washington DC. Censorship is rampant. Mobility of the population has been restricted. Government is using its heavy hand to compel employers to make vaccination mandatory, even though the vaccine has not gone through the standard review and approval process put in place to ensure there are no long term adverse effects. The southern border is being overrun with millions people who are permanently resettling in the United States and receiving the full benefits of citizens and in some instance more. The justice system is two tier allowing the wealthy and powerful to avoid accountability for their crimes.

Those Freepers who haven’t traveled extensively in Canada and done business up there are getting a good lesson in just how mediocre the country and its people are. If it didn’t have a small population living on such an enormous land mass, it would have all the appeal of Mexico City or South Central Los Angeles. Even the Canadians who are exceptional among their peers around the world at what they do — like hockey players — migrate south to ply their trade in a place that still functions with a strong meritocratic streak.

One thing that always struck me as odd was that almost none of the Canadians I know can even explain what the hell Canada is and how it defines itself. They seem to think of themselves as living in a decaffeinated version of America with socialized health care — and that’s it.

They think I’m just too much into political stuff and they’re not - they just want to live in society comfortably. It’s unreal.
