I’ve known of at least one young(ish) man (close friend of co-worker) who went into the hospital with COVID, recovered from COVID, but died anyway from other complications CAUSED by his hospitalization.
Being in the ICU with Covid caused ARDS, it’s not uncommon to get past the Covid but still die from Sepsis, MRSA, or other secondary infections.
