He did not get a “more serious strand” of COVID-19. He got a normal one and, because he didn’t do more to stop its progression, he ended up with more serious consequences.

This is definitely a place where monoclonal antibodies could have helped, if his O2 and availability would have together allowed.

Of course, there are other therapeutics, but I can vouch for a close relative that even those are not assured of keeping COVID complications away.

Sometimes you need antibiotics and steroids to calm your body down.

Thankfully, supplements kept my mild infection to one and half days, before my fever went down to 97.
