First gas, then heating and now rents. Runaway inflation is driving rents skywards across Joe Biden’s America, delivering an average of a 20 percent increase in the U.S.’s biggest 50 cities over the past 12 months, a study details.
At the same time, U.S. Census Bureau statistics show rental vacancy rates during the fourth quarter of 2021 fell to 5.6 percent, the lowest since 1984 in the the world’s largest economy.

Saw a guy in a supermarket last week he was looking at margarine and he said last time he bought some it was $3.99 and now how did it get to $7.99 , I said Biden
Paid almost 4 bucks for HALF a loaf of pumpernickel bread from the bakery.
My monthly “big shopping” used to result in a brimming cartful for $200 or so. Now, $200 fills barely 3/4 of it.

Let build zillions more apartments for Section 8 and homeless - government will subsidize it all (as is happening on the outskirts of my California town).
Never mind we are in “extreme drought” conditions - none of those new units nor the construction used to build them - need water.
Might a few mil illegal aliens per year add to the housing demand (thus housing shortage thus rent increases)?
Also, change the zoning laws in every city - as has happened in California - allowing up to four units on each lot formerly zoned for single family homes. If it’s near a “transit corridor” (my guess is within 50 miles of a freeway) - up to 10 units are allowed.
No need for single family neighborhoods any longer! That’s where White Supremacy is allowed to foment.

It must be something like that because owner expenses never go up, they just make more and more money raising the rents for no reason. Utilities, taxes, repairs, supplies, insurance, all are much lower now, right?
rents follow housing prices, housing prices follow new housing prices, new housing prices follow building materials prices, building materials prices follow inflation, inflation is caused by out-of-control government spending/borrowing, Democrats cause out-of-control government spending/borrowing ... no one could have possibly predicted Democrats would cause rent increases, right?
God help the landlords that are under progressive counties and cities control.
