That is indeed the CIA/deep state plan all along, with or without any so-called invasion. Ukraine is yet another country the US deep state will have purposely made poor, ungovernable and unstable for a generation, in the service of wider strategic goals.
Yes, it is a cynical common practice everywhere, and throughout history -- so at least do not give us any troll BS about it being about protecting Ukraine democracy or "sovereignty." The US deep state is using and abusing the Ukraine people harder or more cynically than the Russians ever could.
The Russians are not going to go beyond Donetsk and Luhansk, Ukraine. They have limited resources. They remember what happened in Chechnya and they don’t want to go through that again. They were able to “Russify” Chechnya but it came at a cost. So here they will just nimble away at Ukraine for decades until it ceases to exist and it will return to the Russian sphere of influence.

If they go further than that you would see massive protests in Moscow and St. Petersburg, the vast majority of Russians are either indifferent, or dead-set against Russia going beyond the Donbass.
