Students have repeatedly vandalized Pride posters at Spencer Lyst’s high school in Williamson County, Tennessee. Teachers have skipped over LGBTQ issues in class textbooks. Trans kids in his state have been legally barred from competing on school sports teams that align with their gender identity. Parents have called on school officials to remove books about sexual orientation and gender identity from the county’s elementary curriculum. And while leading his school’s Pride club at a September homecoming parade, Lyst and other LGBTQ students were booed by a group of parents.
“I’m so used to it, but it shouldn’t be something I have to think about,” Lyst, 16, said of the near-constant feeling of being attacked at school because of his identity.
He even said it’s “difficult” to walk into the school bathroom for fear of what or who “might be in there.”
“Like, can I go to the bathroom or am I going to get hate for just existing?” he said.
Lyst’s school experience is a far cry from an isolated case.
Since the start of the school year, school officials in states across the country have banned books about gay and trans experiences, removed LGBTQ-affirming posters and flags and disbanded gay-straight alliance clubs. In school districts throughout the nation, students have attacked their queer classmates, while state lawmakers have filed hundreds of anti-LGBTQ bills with many seeking to redefine lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer students’ places in U.S. schools.
In the majority of cases, conservative school officials, lawmakers and parents say LGBTQ issues do not belong in school because they are “political” and “not age-appropriate” for students. Conversely, queer youth and their families, along with LGBTQ and ally teachers, say they feel they are being “erased” from the U.S. education system.

There is no such thing as an LGBTQ “kid”. Kids, by definition, are pre-pubescent. Sexuality is not yet relevant to them.

They should have expected a rebellion because of shoving gay crap at the rest of us. Gays are a minority and shouldn’t bully the majority of us. Sick of their perversions on display in order to intimidate straight kids. Yes, gays can be bullies.
NBC could say the same thing about Christian kids and teachers being “erased.” When forming school clubs based on their faith, they often meet with resistance from school officials. A teacher/coach in Washington State has gone to the Supreme Court to defend his right to pray on the field after football games.
The alphabet people are mentally ill and need serious interventions not acceptance.
They need their tragic mental illness erased. What a terrible and unnecessary human-caused disease.

How many posters, textbooks, and clubs in these schools celebrate heterosexuality? How much of the curriculum focuses on heterosexual issues, like the roles of fathers and mothers in effective parenting?

Imagine how “erased” the heterosexual kids must feel!
They should be erased in the classroom. Nobody is supposed to be there on behalf of that crap. Get back to reading, writing, artihmetic, etc.
You’re there to learn, not discuss sex or feelings. There’s a counselor if you need to talk feelings—in private.
There are no “LGBTQ kids”. There are kids with developmental disorders and Leftists who run schools want to make sure the disorders are allowed to progress, oftentimes even forcing the progression.
Whatabout a Zoom class Spencer?
If the schools did not brainwash these kids into thinking they are LGBTQ, they would be fine, and most would mature into happy productive adults. Well, at least for the 8 years they have left to live before the planet is destroyed by climate change.

“LGBTQ Kids” are sexual freak shows taught the trade in publik skools by low I.Q. college kids posing as “teachers”. If I was just starting the First Grade, I’d drop out. They aren’t teaching anything but liberal bullsh*t there anyway.
