Do any Ohio locals have an honest objective read on Timken?
I'm a GOP County Chairman in Ohio. Jane Timken was only elected Ohio GOP Chairman at Trump's direct insistence; he called many Chairmen around Ohio to lobby for her. I believe he will endorse her in the Senate race as well. Kellyanne Conway, still working with Trump, has joined her campaign as an adviser. Jane is tough, a hard worker, a suberb organizer, but most importantly, a true conservative, certainly to the right of Portman. She'll be a loyal Trump supporter if he's the 2024 nominee, too. I think she's the best candidate to go up against Tim Ryan.
My take on the rest of the field: Gibbons is excellent, and my second choice; Vance is prepping a 2024 run, and has lost momentum; Dolan is a moderate but spending tons of money, so viable but not the winner; Mandel is a weak campaigner and has skeletons in his closet that could doom him in the General Election.
If Trump endorses, and I think he will, his pick wins. I think that will be Timken.
Big swamp vibe from her. I’m voting JD Vance in the primary. If he doesn’t make it, I’m not voting.
