Actually, you are wrong. The original post specifically said “living writers.” It did not state the greatest English writer of all time, just living writers. By comparing “living writers” to those that have passed on, is not comparing same. Also, someone posted a comment malomg a better comparision - comparing the “living writer” to an English author still alive - Ken Follett. That was the better comparison and better argument.
He was lamenting the legacy.
