After invoking the “Emergencies Act” in Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau gave not only the government extreme power of citizens, but now law enforcement are able to use excessive force when disbanding the protests. Recently, officers, fashioned in riot gear and wearing masks, pushed through the front lines of the protests, arresting fellow Canadians. But while there is no denying the violence being shown against the peaceful protesters making up the Freedom Convoy, the threat of being charged, imprisoned, and financially ruined might be nothing more than a scare tactic by the Canadian government.
In the video, which is featured below, the police can clearly be seen rounding up protesters and arresting them. For one person, a group of officers was literally carrying the handcuffed person all the way to the police vehicles. But again, while the officers are showing little restraint against the protesters and supposedly clearing key areas in Ottawa, the display of force might be nothing but theatrics.
Following over 70 arrests made by the police, a fellow protester who has stood on the front lines detailed how law enforcement are rounding up people, but it is all for the cameras. The protester not only mocked the Canadian government for doing nothing more than arresting people and then dropping them off in the middle of nowhere, but reminded people that since the protests have been peaceful, they can’t be charged. And although he is only one protesters, he isn’t the only one sharing stories about being arrested and released in random locations. Take a look.
The measure has not been voted on by Parliament yet. Heard not until Monday.
hauling them miles away, and then kicking them out...
That would be how Trudeau prevents a strike.
Still, I’m glad that the woman on the scooter was just faking it. 🤪
That’s not true I heard otherwise. There’s a lot of actors being arrested and let loose it’s part of the plan. Don’t be fooled if you wanna get down to the nitty-gritty ask the leaders of the truckers. Where are they? Behind jail bars! Actors have been planted to soften the blow of what really is going on behind closed doors.
Mostly they are arrested, held a few hours and fined. Many are driven 20 miles out into the boonies and dumped.
They are clearing out the streets and making arrests. Under what authority are these actions if Parliament has yet to vote?
What have you heard and where did you hear otherwise?
IF the emergency act use was valid (I don’t think so!) the gov has a week of this authority prior to vote
There is no authority except the weaponry used on the citizens. This will happen here too.
Someone in the Parliament accused Turdeau of making the vote after the action and she was right. He did just that.
They have no means of containing that many people, so they are driving a lot of them out of town and dumping them. I assume they are saving jail space for organizers.
Seems to be the case.
The horses haven’t been sent back in, no?
On YouTube I came across a independent person videotaping last night’s arrests and this morning he asked one of the persons who was arrested what happened to him. And the person said that they handcuffed him and drove him outside the area took his wallet info everything and put it in a plastic bag and handed it back to him and he walked back to the area where they had arrested him. But the person videotaping said that he was not sure if his testimony was on the level ....sounded a little fishy!
so why is the police chief saying he’ll be hunting people down and destroying them ? Terror tactics ?
Not charging them makes the police tactics even worse.
not that i’ve seen, no
That’s called kidnapping.
If they are doing it for the optics, they are not accomplishing much but galvanizing the protesters.
Fog of war. Nobody knows the whole story at this time, especially bloggers.
[[the threat of being charged, imprisoned, and financially ruined might be nothing more than a scare tactic by the Canadian government.]]
Um- the pm just announced they are gonna make much of their newfound emergency war powers act permanent
