It is a generally accepted rule that you never check-in code that does not AT LEAST build without compiler errors.

From experience, I know a lot of things can cause compile errors such as tool versions and platform variances. I've worked with engineers from Canada, India, China, Japan and Korea. Indians are generally hard workers and decent coders, but they rarely stay at the same job for very long. Chinese are lazy and are not capable of thinking outside the box. Japanese very easily get bogged down in details and will not take responsibility for anything. Koreans want everything done for them and are very critical of other's work. Older Canadians and Americans are the ones who actually take ownership of projects and get thinks done. Millennials are smart, but come in late, leave early and don't show-up at critical times. At least that is my experience as a Hardware design engineer of over 20 years.

Millennials are smart but they want a trophy at the end of each day... heck, at the end of each meeting! and if you object to their immature ideas (which you know from experience will fail) they want to get you fired.

They do not understand the value of experience- you’re just an enemy to them getting their way, so they throw a tantrum.
