It began as a normal Uber pick-up for the mom of four moonlighting as a driver. That is until the man in the backseat put a gun to her head.
According to police, that man was 22-year-old Calvin Crew, of Penn Hills, Allegheny County, who has been arrested and charged in the shooting death of Uber driver and mom of four, Christina (Christi) Spicuzza.
Crew faces charges of criminal homicide, robbery and tampering with evidence, according to authorities, according to KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, which reports:
The dash cam footage recovered by police shows, 38-year-old Spicuzza begging for her life – ultimately to no avail.
This, after Crew put a gun to Spicuzza’s head about 10 minutes into the ride last Thursday.
Crew told her to “keep driving,” according to the criminal complaint cited by KDKA.
Spicuzza responded by saying, “Come on, I have a family.” Crew replied, “I got a family, too, now drive.”
Spicuzza’s pleading didn’t end there. The dash cam footage shows her saying, “I’m begging you, I have four kids.”
The video ends with Crew saying, “Do what I say and everything will be all right,” KDKA reports, citing the complaint in the case.
But it wasn’t all right. Far from it.
In a press conference this morning, police told the media that it’s unclear what happened from the time Spicuzza’s dash cam was shut off and until her death, but it must have been “terrifying for Christine.”
The body of the mother of four from Turtle Creek, Pa., was found last Saturday afternoon. Spicuzza died of a single gunshot wound, police said without elaborating.
GPS records provided by Uber show the pair drove through several Allegheny County neighborhoods. Along the way, phone records showed that Spicuzza’s cash apps were accessed, KDKA reports.
According to police, robbery was the main motive in the killing. They said there’s no known prior relationship between Crew and Spicuzza.
Spicuzza and Crew then drove to Monroeville, where police say she was shot last Thursday night. Her body was found three days later in a wooded area there.
At last report, Crew, who was taken into custody and locked up at the Allegheny County Jail Thursday night, was still awaiting formal arraignment in the case.

Were they unable to find a photograph of the perp? Not even a high school graduation photo?

I was shopping and the guy ahead of me walked away from the line once he saw the clerk was a black girl. Some people will avoid blacks and I don’t blame them in the mindset today within the black community. I never did but I do now.
I’ll just say I prefer my own culture norms.

Being an Uber driver is risky enough in the daylight....a woman driver alone at night is a target for all the creeps who come out after dark.

There is no punishment imaginable for Calvin Crew that would even remotely approach cruel and unusual.
Should anything untoward ever happen to Mr. Crew, I am a guaranteed vote for acquittal for the accused regardless as to who they are, or the quantity and quality of unspeakable atrocities they inflicted upon Calvin.
I did a grocery delivery at WM, and the notification always says to stay in the car and let them load your vehicle. This guy comes out, and rolls the stuff out then walks back inside. I wait for a few more minutes, and then he walks out with a black woman who tells me I’m supposed to it myself. I told her I didn’t see a notification saying that was the new rule.
More and more the females get more and more insufferable. And if you avoid them, like I do, it makes them even more angry.

Well Pittsburg isn’t exactly a safe city to start with..... they have a strong Hoody population. I don’t go down there even in the day light. Dayton Ohio is like that as well.
