Bad part is that they are. If you, like me, was born in the US, we are too. Does it bother you? And unless it is characterized that way, it won’t bother anyone. Changing history, to include our language, is dishonest. And to make matters worse, it violates the first amendment greater than the use of the words independently.

I guess it is a good thing that Amerigo Vespucci’s first name wasn’t Fred and the locals were called Fredians. Then all the Freds in the country would be insulted and would demand a change in the local’s name.
But I guess it could have been worse. And whose to blame, the parents that name them that? Class action suit. And calling them indigenous people makes them all sound like Harvard graduates. Everyone has to have them and their entire family history going back to Cro-Magnon sanitized or life as we know it will disintegrate. Mars doesn’t sound too bad.
