Not just that, but what difference would it make if it did?
The constitution is just a piece of paper, a set of ideas. It’s not some magic wand, as some naively believe, that causes people to do what it says.
I find it amusing that so many conservatives think of the constitution as a protector in and of itself - that they can rely on the constitution for protection and don’t really have to do anything themselves.
If it has any power, it comes from the people who ACTIVELY stand behind those ideas with passion. And I’m seeing less and less of those people and more and more of those that want to tear it up.
