I guess you missed the original production in the USSR. Misery isn't to be avoided. Misery is the GOAL. Misery, chaos, fear, deprivation. Communists purposely create these conditions so they can keep a weakened people under their thumb, and they will only blame the truckers for any economic misery anyway.
