Mine is more so. I can do much more damage with my bolt action. Long range, evade, engage again ….
their entire flock of lawyers should be fired...
Yep. This is not good. It’s not like they were going to boycott their business or anything. Tragedy has nothing to do with gun manufacturers. How many auto manufacturers have apologized for the drunk driver?? Stop apologizing for everything!!
The plain background is especially objectionable.
.30-06 AP, you refer to black tip? Yes, that’s armor piercing. What about expanding ammunition?
He could have done this any number of ways.
An old revolver and a bag of speed loaders.
A Glock with a bag of low capacity mags.
A big kitchen knife.
They were utterly defenseless, by choice.
Did they sue the pharmaceutical company that made Lanza’s psych meds?
.223 has a nasty habit of tumbling on impact and ping-ponging around when it hits something solid, though. .30-06 tends to zip straight through. I’m a 7.62 NATO kind of guy, but the .223 has a chaotic element when it hits.
There were some funds left IIRC. This is (I think) the bankruptcy trustee just making it go away before they wind down everything.
The physical facility went with what is now RemArms, which was bought by Roundhill Group. RemArms will keep the Ilion factory going for now, but they may be doing the Texas Two Step - only to Georgia.
The Texas Two Step is to open a new facility in another state (i.e., Texas) away from a blue/high tax/high cost state, claim that it’s just an auxiliary facility, no need to worry, we’ll keep the old plant going... then within a year or so, move all production to the new plant, claiming market changes or whatever are forcing the move, and closing the old plant.
thx, surprised they stayed this long...
I think they have to stay until they complete the Obama-era order for sniper rifles the old Remington was awarded to make them stay in NY post NYSAFE Act instead of bailing like pretty much every other NY firearms maker.

thx
.303 had an aluminum (or fiber) cone under the tip to make it tumble.
That’s not .30-06, though. :P
I will never buy anything with the Remington name again.
Actually the 30-06. is a better choice as its more likely to go through the body rather than tumble around chewing up flesh and causing wounds not easily repaired and more likely to bleed out. And if a 30-06 hits a leg or arm bone its more likely to clip the bone clean rather than a 233 that will more likely disintegrate the bone and thus be more likely to result in amputation.
More parents blaming video games. What a crock of sh!t.
I was bullied horribly as a tween and teen, chronically depressed, and I played tons of video games containing violence. A lot of violence. I started playing DOOM at ten, without my parents’ knowledge; the game which apparently “triggered” the Columbine kids into shooting up their school.
I never considered it, and you bet I could have gotten my hands on a gun. Games have only gotten more violent, and if that was a factor, we’d be seeing way more gun violence amongst school-aged kids.
Read further in the thread. Remington went bankrupt and was parted out in liquidation. Nothing named Remington being made today is actually the Remington that got sued or that settled here. This is very likely just the bankruptcy trustee(s) concluding the matter before winding down the last operations.
