I’m a lifelong California native inhabitant. Those 3 things he brings up, those things are works of man which can be changed.
But I see every day what this guy is saying, and agree with it. I’m lookin’ to move out of here as well, but things tie me down like family and ministry and finances. Of course, I can experience bad finances and frustrating/fulfilling ministry in any state of the US, but family — I’m starting to tell myself that we have airplanes for this reason.
Hubby and I were raised in Southern California since our dads retired from the military in the early 60s (USAF & USN). However, we saw the writing on the wall so in 1996 we packed up the kids and left for AZ, which we love. We still have family in California so we go back every few years to visit. TBH the only thing we really miss about California is the ocean, so we’re planning a week long stay in Mission Beach this summer to satiate our yearning for the sea.
