Almost 20,000 2017-18 models are being recalled following several fires. Chrysler's parent company, Stellantis, is recalling 19,808 Pacifica Hybrid minivans due to a potential fire risk. Only 2017-18 models are affected, with the recall coming after an internal investigation found 12 fires occurred with Pacifica Hybrids in those model years. All of those 12 fires happened when the vehicles were parked and turned off, with 8 of them charging as well.
Fortunately Stellantis is not aware of any injuries or accidents as a result of the fires, but they are urging all owners not to charge their Pacificas and to park them far away from other vehicles or structures. The automaker does however believe it's still safe to drive the Pacifica Hybrid using its combustion engine. The recall consists of 16,741 vehicles in the United States, 2,317 in Canada and 750 outside North America.

If you own one, look out.
Clearly they don’t know their soccer mom buyers very will.
They will almost fight to the death over a parking spot close to the door.
I have only seen a few car fires in person all they have all been Chrysler.
(two can play this childish game)
“urging all owners not to charge their Pacificas”
Doesn’t sound like a long term fix....
I’ll confess that I missed Fiat’s name change to Stell-Antis. French engineering with Italian quality?
That’s an impressive picture. All that was left of the decking was rebar and an electrical conduit, and it held up.
EV’s don’t have tailpipes, Toad.
You’d be better off ans safer throwing your money down a toilet than buying anything dodge or chrysler. The same for their rebadged fiats being sold as “jeeps”.
