The problems with obtaining chips has been going on for two years. My understanding is that they come from Taiwan. I have a son in law who works for the automobile industry and has been talking about these shortages and what it is doing to the industry for.... two years. It’s been assumed the “pandemic” and supply issues have been the problem.
But now its Russia? Seems like Putin is the “Emmanuel Goldstein” from Orwell’s 1984. What is this constant drumbeat against Russia from the Left. They loved Russia when it was the Communist Soviet Union.

That’s the problem. With the fall of the USSR, Russia became a sort of capitalistic oligarchy and is no longer capitalist. The loss of the left’s ‘promised land’ is almost as great a blow to them as when Hitler invaded Russia. So they hate Nazis and now they hate Russians.

The Truth that leaks out is that Ukraine has some Rare Earth and Rare Mineral Resources that Western Marxist Oligarchs want to steal along with Ukraine's farmland and other natural resources.
