A huge percentage of Ford’s plants in the U.S. are in Michigan and the media is trying to shift blame to the truckers.
New York Times, 11/18/2021: Ford Moves to Ensure Supply of Chips and Guide Their Design: “...Key suppliers include NXP Semiconductors and STMicroelectronics in Europe, Renesas Electronics in Japan, and Onsemi and Microchip Technology in the United States. Those companies own factories to make some chips they design, but they also subcontract some of the manufacturing.”
Several other news outlets reported the same thing - that they were being hurt - and that it was due to microchip shortages.

so what? Ford, and the different unions are in bed with president alesauce, AND, were well-fed in the Obama-led corporate stimulus money.

You only post links to media articles pointing to chip shortages. Defeats your point.
If you figure the average life is perhaps 20 yrs, then you’re replacing 5% of the fleet every year (more or less) and that number is close to 14 million.
When the citizens finally do go after the media, please, please advertise. There will be no lack of volunteers, and no lack of ideas on just how much pain that they WILL go through before....

It's going to take a few years before that facility is built and the first chip is produced.
How is that going to help the supply of cars today and tomorrow?

The media isn’t reporting the link of the shortage now to chip manufacturers but are reporting the truckers are to blame. You should be up to date on this and be smart enough to make the connection and figure it out, genius.
Michigan is only in the news because the Ambassador Bridge connects us to Canada thru Michigan. Detroit is still the Motor City, but there are thousands of tier 1 & 2 suppliers throughout the country that build cars parts that will be affected. Including the foreign car manufacturers.
The Canadian “strike” is just beginning to affect the U.S. economy.
Interesting weeks ahead. To be sure.

You don’t make points for your case by linking media articles which link the shortage to chips.

I have only seen articles such as the ones you linked that blame it on chip shortage.
And sadly there are some here too dumb to keep up with the MSM (who are now shifting the blame to the truckers) and need to have truckers mentioned in this article in order to connect the dots.

You are the defeating your on case by NOT making the connection AND linking only articles that refute your point.
