Two Dallas police officers are facing felony pre-indictment charges related to their handling of the May 2020 George Floyd protests, according to the Dallas County District Attorney's Office. The Dallas Police Association, meanwhile, says the warrants are unjust and politically motivated. ,p. Dallas County DA John Creuzot said in a statement Wednesday afternoon that the charges come after his office worked for a year to identify officers who may have committed criminal offenses during the protests. ,p. The DA's office said Sr. Cpl. Ryan Mabry and Sr. Cpl. Melvin Williams is each facing several pre-indictment charges including multiple instances of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon by a public servant, a 1st-degree felony.

I left Dallas PD in 1994 to attend law school.
In 2016, a close friend, Sgt. Michael Williams, was killed along with four other officers by a sniper. He was a good one.
There are good and bad officers. I have no use for the bad ones.

Not really. Fort Worth saw a BLM rally where objects and fireworks were thrown at officers attempting to clear a blocked street. The gutless police chief was cowed and no one was charged.

They have no clue that they are surrounded by hundreds of thousands of concealed carry firearms, prior military, rednecks in nice clothes and they do NOT VirSig their beliefs, remain situationally aware and are on the lookout for crimes being committed.
What has surprised me is in more conversions than I expected the more aggressive of such individuals have had TCCC training and have their own medical bags stashed in their cars and trucks.
