California will do that to a person. The Bay Bridge replacement @ 6x budget and the bullet train currently running about 2.5x original budget with by far the most complex and expensive segments of the line yet to be built, the right-of-way yet to be acquired.

About a mile of the road out to my house is in bad need of being widened. This area voted overwhelmingly for Trump, so I’m not holding my breath.

Very little of this will actually go for needed infrastructure. This is first and foremost a pork windfall that will go to the usual cast of democratic hangers on. Expect the standard lineup of democratic donors and race baiters to prosper. Billions will be funneled to "green" companies like Obama did with Solyndra. Billions more will go to minority run cities where it'll disappear into vacation homes and cadillacs for city council members. A perfect example is Jackson, MS, which has had a municipal water system that has required residents to boil their water for years. Enough federal and state money has been sent to Jackson to replace the water system several times over but it's been outright stolen by crooked city government officials. The routine is well rehearsed, city government says the water won't flow because of racism, millions of dollars are sent to fix it, money is stolen, rinse, repeat.

That's where the vast majority of this "infrastructure" money will go.
